Problem: The access hatch to the attic was not completely sealed and HVAC system was creating negative pressure in the home. Air was pulled from the attic around the cracks in the access hatch creating fungal growth.
Solution: The mold remediation process started by constructing a sealed containment space with negative pressure. In order to avoid cross contamination, we set up the containment area so the AC could continue to run during the remediation. We removed the contaminated materials, santized the studs and dried them completely. An air quality test was completed by Mold Assessment Consultants and the area was free of mold. We installed an attic cover to avoid the problem from occuring in the future.

Problem: While remodeling the bathroom on the second floor, the contractor smelled something musty and saw black material while removing the tiles. The homeowner and contractor were concerned that this could be mold. During our consultation, we found that there was a leak from the toilet ring that accumulated moisture and created microbial growth. It had affected not only the bathroom floor, but the first floor ceiling as well.
Solution: We built a containment on the hall of the first floor. We removed the ceiling until no visible microbial growth was found. In the bathroom, we removed the contaminated materials, brought shower out after cleaned and sanitized. Studs were HEPA vaccumed and treated with source removal. After cleaning and sanitizing, the area was dried using a dehumidifier. The bathroom and hall were tested for mold by a Mold Assessment Consultant. The house was cleared, so the contractor and homeowner could continue on the reconstruction and remodeling having a peace of mind that no more mold was around.

Problem: Family have been feeling sick for some time and decided to contact AdvantaClean. We went to the house and provided them with a consultation. During the consultation, we found a leak in the Jacuzzi drain line that has made Jacuzzi bottom full of mold and damage some cabinets. We recommended the homeowner to hire a Mold Assessment Consultant since the homeowner is allergic to some molds and a plumber to fix the leak. They wanted to keep their Jacuzzi and were concern about not finding the tile surround to match with the floor.
Solution: AdvantaClean was able to remove all the tile surround without damaging any of it. We also remove the Jacuzzi without any damage. After cleaning all the mold from the Jacuzzi we encapsulated the bottom to prevent mold growth if there is another leak. Pass clearance the first time.
