Problem: Clogged Dryer Exhaust Line
Solution: First, we performed a thorough inspection of the exhaust lines to find the exit points. Even the boss can get down and dirty! We noticed that the first floor dryers exhaust up through the fifth floor. We cleaned the exhausts by accessing the lines through wall panels and using compressed air and agitation on the main lines to thoroughly remove any lint. We recommended booster fans to move the debris along as there are way to many twists and turns in the system which could be problematic going forward.

Problem: Customer had a major water intrusion due to a busted flushometer on a toilet. The water damaged a large portion of the second floor and seeped through the concrete ceiling and into the first floor. Multiple rooms were affected and a cafeteria had to be closed as a result.
Solution: After assessing the damage, we needed to extract all water and move contents from multiple areas as well as attempt to dry structures. Drying did not work as insulation behind the walls was completely saturated. We removed sheet-rocked walls and insulation that were excessively wet. We worked closely with the property manager and building owner to rebuild contracts in order to get the building back to its normal function as quickly as possible.

Problem: Continuous leak from plumbing under the kitchen sink caused mold growth on the kitchen wall behind the cabinets. A bathroom exhaust that was not vented to the outside sent moisture into the attic and caused mold growth on the plywood sheathing.
Solution: The plumber fixed the leak in the kitchen. We had to remove all cabinets and kitchen flooring as mold had grown under the hardwood and on the subfloor. Remove all the attic insulation which exposed more mold on the sheetrock ceiling. Clean all cavities and remove sheetrocked ceiling...clean all stains on plywood sheathing and encapsulate with a clear coat sealant.
This homeowner faced a significant issue with excessive attic mold, which had spread across the rafters and plywood sheathing. The root cause of this problem was poor ventilation in the attic, compounded by the bathroom exhaust fans venting directly into the attic space. Recognizing the severity of the situation, we promptly recommended the removal of the affected exterior plywood. Our skilled team undertook the task diligently, beginning with the removal of insulation, followed by the remediation and cleaning of all the affected rafters and ceiling joists. By addressing the root causes and thoroughly treating the affected areas, we aimed to eliminate the mold issue and restore a healthy living environment for the homeowner.
