Problem: Family was on vacation enjoying their Lake home. Daughter was checking up on the home and found water everywhere. Source was a small 4 inch pvc pipe that had somehow broken its connection and had been leaking for 2-3 days. Damage extended from the second floor through the first floor and into the basement. Carpet, hardwood floor and a caved in ceiling were just a few of the things that were damaged.
Solution: Once contacted, we instructed the daughter to turn off the main water supply. Then, our emergency service team was able to arrive within an hour to begin the cleaning and drying process. If the homeowner hadn't had the daughter checking up on the home or we hadn't be able to respond quickly, the entire home might've been ruined. When on vacation, always have a friend, neighbor or family member checking up on your home to prevent or limit possible situations like these!

Problem: Excess condensation and humidity on the windows combined with a poorly ventilated space created the perfect condition for mold to thrive on this family’s nursery windows. Mold removal had to be performed to protect this family's health.
Solution: We performed mold removal and increased ventilation through out the room. We performed a full room disinfection wipe down with an exit HEPA vacuum to create a much safer and healthy home. The family was very thankful for the mold removal job.
Location: Orland Park, IL 60467
Problem: Orland park family attempted to have new hardwood floors installed but discovered black mold when demolition of old floor began. The source of the black mold growth was caused by a foundation crack. Mold remediation was performed.
Solution: AdvantaClean of Southwest Chicago Responded the same day. We assessed the damage, developed a safe protocol and discovered the source was the crack in the foundation. Mold removal was performed and their home improvement project continued.

Problem: At 9pm on a September evening, heavy rains caused a sudden sewer back up and half of two floors flooded with sewage. Due to the nature of the problem and areas where it occurred (dining room, bar area, kitchens) it was essential to respond quickly to start the drying process and de-contaminate the area. The facility relies on a continual flow of revenue and multiple days lost would be detrimental to the membership.
Solution: Immediate response, identify the source of the problem, refer plumbing company to fix quickly. During this time we began extraction (removal) of heavy amounts of water in multiple areas. The following morning, a team of nine began the process of identifying and diagnosing all affected areas. After careful examination, the most effective and cost sensitive approach was taken to drying and sanitizing.
AdvantaClean was available during the entire process to answer questions from the club staff as well as their insurance adjusters.
In the end, the immediate response and mitigation saved the club and the insurance carrier a great deal of money.
The club was open for business four days later.

Problem: Years of neglectful maintenance has created multiple moisture issues in the home including: bedrooms, attic and crawlspace. Mrs. Hernandez complained of odors and an unclean environment. Mold was a very serious concern for their family.
Solution: Upon inspection we found moisture intrusions from the gutters and roof as well as a poorly ventilated crawlspace. These identified issues had been causing damage for quite some time and had created a great deal of suspect microbial growth. It had been creating a very poor living environment. We recommended a full remediation of the attic with insulation removal, source removal (drywall) of three bedrooms and a crawlspace clean up with increased ventilation and vapor barrier installation.
Cost was an issue in this case, but thanks to our relationship with Blue Sky financial, we were able to finance the project as well as a few others related repairs that needed to be done.
After the work had been completed, Mrs. Hernandez supplied this review of our service and work: "AdvantaClean came to my house well equipped and very thorough. the before and after results was just amazing and i was able to sleep with comfort."
Thanks Mrs Hernandez. We're glad you were happy with our services!

Problem: After cleaning a customer's air ducts, the airflow of a bathroom vent was significantly lower than before we performed our service.
Solution: After a few hours of discovery, we found the cause of low air flow was due to improperly installed rigid ductwork. We removed two sections of drywall from the ceiling and reattached the duct work properly, and replaced the drywall. Although we had not caused the damage, we were more than happy to help our customer out.

Problem: Mold was found by a home inspector in the attic of a house to be sold and a remediation was suggested before closing.
Solution: Upon a second inspection it was concluded that the insulation sheathing was compromised and needed to be removed for a full remediation. After the insulation was removed, we then completed the remediation by H.E.P.A. vacuuming all surfaces, treating with antimicrobial and H.E.P.A. vacuuming again.
Location: Kankakee, IL 60901
Problem: Old insulation and mold within the crawl space were causing the home owner to experience severe respiratory problems.
Solution: After remediating the crawlspace by removing the insulation, H.E.P.A. vacuuming and treating with antimicrobial we then encapsulated the crawlspace. We did this by grading the space towards the sump pump, installing drainage tile and matting, then sealing the walls with 12 mil plastic sheeting and the floor with 20 mil poly. Finally, we installed a dehumidifier to make the space dry and usable.

Problem: A church parsonage experienced a sewer back up in the basement. Contaminated materials included contents and building materials.
Solution: After the sump pump was fixed we extracted residual sewage back up using our Kleen Rite Mega-flood Extractor. We then removed and disposed of all contaminated contents and building materials including molded drywall. Finally, we thoroughly cleaned the entire area using an antimicrobial to prevent any further damage.

Problem: Leaky shower pipe behind wall in second floor bathroom caused extensive damage in adjoining bedroom, closet and first floor dining room and bathroom.
Solution: After a plumber fixed the leak, we determined the extent of the damage using moisture meters and censors. We then removed building material that could not be dried in a timely manner, which included a two foot industry standard cut in the bedroom, the shower in the second floor bathroom, two walls in the dining room, and the entire first floor bathroom. We then established a drying system in both work areas using air movers to dry the reaming structure.
