Clean Your FiltersOctober 18, 2011 0 Comments
Did you know that by going green around the house this winter, you can save up to 5% on your heating costs?
The best defense against breathing unhealthy air in your home is to have an efficient air filter.
Just make sure furnace filters in forced-air systems are clean. Dirty furnace filters restrict airflow and increase energy use. Cleaning them, or swapping them out each month during the winter, reduces the amount of energy used. It may also be a good idea to schedule an annual checkup before the heat comes on to see that the furnace is properly calibrated.
