AdvantaClean of West Columbia Our Work
Case Studies
Scope of the Work:
● Removing wet materials
● Drying damaged surfaces
● Cleaning up removed flooring
● Reconstructing
Wet Wall Materials
Latex paint began to peel from the drywall as it became saturated. Internal moisture damage would require portions of these panels to be removed. Reinstalled drywall at this location would be coated with a mold-inhibiting primer and then painted with a topcoat color matched to the rest of the room.
Water Infiltration
Water moved through wall systems and underneath the flooring. Professionals removed surface floorings like tile and hardwood in areas of the home where drying was not possible. Dried subflooring will be recovered with new flooring materials where materials were discarded.
Drying Objectives
Air movers, dehumidifiers, and other drying implements were placed to begin evaporative drying efforts. Tracking equipment like thermographic imagery and moisture sensors monitored the success of this drying equipment continually and identified where further attention was needed.
