A TINY LINE CAUSES A BIG PROBLEM
Problem: Homeowner discovers a rain shower in her home shortly after closing. The culprit? The refrigerator water line was over pressurized and split, releasing 1000 gallons of water loose on the main floor of the two-story home and causing extensive water damage. Solution: Crews arrived within an hour of receiving a panicked phone call from the distressed homeowner. Once one site, crews quickly assessed the damage, determined the cause of the loss, and got to work moving out and saving personal property and extracting standing water from both the upper and lower levels of the home. Once the bulk of the water was extracted (non-salvageable water-soaked laminate flooring, carpet and pad), areas of drywall had to be removed and disposed of. All areas were then disinfected. After the bulk of the affected materials were removed, a full drying system was established using a combination of dehumidification and air movement. Abiding by industry standards and utilizing top of the line drying technology, crews were able to dry the entire home and prepare it for repairs in just three days. Crews worked with the homeowners insurance from start to finish to minimize stress on the homeowner and ensure a smooth claims process.
