Problem: Sneeze, cough and runny noses of the family members after every night. The customer told us the house had just been remodeled. After the HVAC system inspection we figured out the return plenum was completely dusty and with loosen debris and dust. The supply registers were full of dust, the HVAC filter was clogged and the A coil full of dust from the return side.

Solution: Thorough HEPA Vacuuming on the return plenum, building debris and dust removal. Supply ductwork and registers cleaning according to NADCA Standards, HVAC filter changed and wet coil cleaning using an alkaline coli cleaner.

   

  

Residential Dryer Vent Cleaning

Customer: Vicencio 

City: Kendall, FL 

Problem: Excessive heat coming out from the Dryer exhaust pipe. Black stain around the Dryer exhaust hood. After the inspection we figure out that for some reason the Dryer was not exhausting properly.

Solution:  Dryer Vent Cleaning using a HEPA Vacuum and a rotary brush system. We made an in depth vacuuming of the lint filter and filter place inside the Dryer and after that we disconnected the Dryer Vent from the flexible 4" pipe and proceed to the clean the entire exhaust pipe and found the flap of the hood was jam in closed position.


Residential Coil Cleaning

Customer: Marcelo A. 

Location: Miami, Lakes FL 33014

Problem: We received a call from a property manager because the tenant of an apartment was complaining about the A/C system performance.

Solution: After the initial assessment we realized the main issue of the system was a completely clogged coil. The 2 Ton Air Handling Unit performance was very affected. 
We HEPA vacuumed the exterior and interior of the Air Handler and the coil from the return and supply sides, then we make a wet cleaning according to NADCA ACR-2013 with a portable pressure washer. After the cleaning process was complete we fogged the coil and the Air Handler. The equipment performance was restored and the air pressure drop in the coil reduced.

Commercial Auto Body Shop Mold Remediation

Location: Pompano Beach, FL 33064

Customer: Commercial Auto Body Shop 

Problem: The customer reported Mold growing on the corner of the workshop in a white latex painted concrete wall after a bad repaired roof leak.

Solution: After the customer repaired again the roof we made and initial inspection and defined the scope of work.The project was challenging because the roof was 20´ height and also the job should be performed after hours. We took the following steps to proceed with the remediation:
1.    Arrived at the jobsite 5.30 pm, but we should wait up to 6.00 pm to enter the store.
2.    Set up the Scaffold and the containment with 6 mil poly around the scaffold and up to the wall and roof.
3.    Set an air scrubber as negative air machine.
4.    We used a grinder and an orbital sander to remove the decolorated wall.
5.    HEPA Vacuumed all the walls and floors.
6.    Added polyurethane caulk around the electrical panel.
7.    Microban spray and wipe down of all the surfaces with a Mop.
8.    Painted with Fosters 40-20 with an airless sprayer.
9.    Bagged of the containment poly and disposal of the debris.
10.    Left the job site 3.00 am

Water Damage Restoration after Hurricane Matthew

Location: St. Augustine, FL 32080

Customer: Matthew 

ProblemAdvantaClean of Fort Lauderdale took on the challenge presented by the flooding of Crescent Beach on St. Augustine. We received a call from a customer who lives 1600 miles from his summer house, after the hurricane the house was flooded 2´ height on the ground floor.

Solution: First of all we helped the customer with all of the insurance paperwork, and deal with all the specifics requirements by FEMA.
Since we were dealing with flood waters (Cat.3 or Black water according to IICRC), our team was careful to keep safety first during the three day cleanup.
After that we started to remove the wet furniture, the carpet of the rooms and the vinyl floor on the master bedroom. Then we continued with the demolition work, removing 4´ of sheetrock, insulation, baseboards and all the waterlogged and moldy debris.
Then we applied Microban to all the affected surfaces and after that deployed air moving equipment and dehumidifiers to complete the drying process after 5 days.

Eye Care Center Mold Remediation 

Location: Fort Myers, FL 33907

Problem: A commercial client with surface mold growth in hallways, two exam rooms and one file room and several employees with allergic symptoms due to suspected fungal activity. 

Solution: After a 3rd party assessment we received the scope and lab results with a high concentration of spores of Aspergilius/Penicilium and after the customer approved our quote we took care of the job.
The most challenging part of the project was it should be done in a reduced time frame, from Saturday afternoon to Sunday evening and on Monday the store should operate as normal. 
Steps of remediation:
1- Turned OFF HVAC System.
2- Established the containment area one containment for each room and the hallway open.
3- Removed contents in isolated areas to be cleaned off site.
4- Gross Demolition (300 Sqf. of Sheetrock and affected rigid external insulation).
5- Gross Clean up - All surfaces within the containment area HEPA Vacuumed.
6- Wet wiping all surfaces within the containment area and the hallway surfaces.
7- Air Scrubbers running to accomplish more than 200 Air Exchanges.
8- Fogged Anti Microbial inside the containment areas and the hallway.

Eye Care Center Emergency Cat 1 Water Damage Restoration

Location: Pompano Beach, FL 33064

Problem: A/C leaked due to a clogged condensate pan.

Solution: As soon as we received the emergency call we took all the equipment necessary to make the job and we reached the job site within 1 hour, where the A/C contractor was called before us to solve the leak. Following the IICRC S500 Standard and considering we deal with Cat 1 or Clear water these were the steps we took:
1- Limit the affected area access to the employees. 
2-Moisture mapping of the affected areas.
3-Water extraction of 3 Gallons of floor water(1200 times more effective than Vacuum).
4-Set up a LGR Dehumidifier and two centrifugal Air Movers.
5-Completed the Scope Sheets and documentation associated with the job.
6- After a day of drying the floor was completely dried.

Retail Mold Remediation 

Location: West Palm Beach, FL 33411 

Problem: Mold growing on a wall after a water leak.

Solution: After the customer repaired the broken pipe we made an initial assessment of the job site and defined the strategy to work without disturbing the normal daily routine of the store.The project was challenging because the other side of the wall was shared with a coffee store that did not allow us to work from both sides. Following IICRC S520 standard we took these steps to proceed with the mold remediation:
1.    Set up the containment barrier with 6 mil poly covering all the affected walls.
2.    Set an air scrubber as negative air machine to avoid cross contamination from the containment area to the outside area.
3.    Gross demolition of the affected area and with the use of a sander connected to the HEPA Vacuum, to avoid the spread of spores, we cleaned the affected Plywood.
4.    HEPA Vacuumed all the areas within the containment.
5.    Biocide sprayed and wiped down of all the surfaces with a Mop.
6.    Changed the Air Scrubber configuration to filter all the air volume within the containment - at least 200 Air Exchanges - and set up a dehumidifier to lower the moisture content of the air and affected surfaces.
7.    Painted with Fosters 40-20 with an airless sprayer.
8.    Bagged of the containment poly and disposal of the debris.

Condo Unit Mold Removal

Location: Sunrise, FL 33322 

Problem: Customer discovered serious Mold problem after buying a condo unit. High humidity on indoor environment due to A/C system was not working. Previous water heater leak on closet.

Solution: After the initial assessment of the job site we found visible Mold behind the kitchen cabinets, stove, refrigerator, below the Air Handler, on the water heater closet and a bedroom closet. The house was empty and that simplified our job. Following IICRC S520 standard and NORMI professional practices we took these steps to proceed with the mold remediation:
1.    Set up the containment barrier with 6 mil poly covering all the affected rooms.
2.    Set a large air scrubber as negative air machine to avoid cross contamination from the containment area to the outside area.
3.    Gross demolition of the affected area. We cut 2 Ft or 4 Ft of affected Sheetrock on each room, removed the kitchen appliances, kitchen cabinets, the A/C air handler was removed and put outside the containment area to make an in depth cleaning of the coil and applied a Biocide to the coil. 
4.    HEPA Vacuumed all the areas within the containment.
5.    Biocide sprayed and wiped down of every surfaces within the containment area.
6.    Changed the Air Scrubber configuration to filter all the air volume within the containment - at least 200 Air Exchanges, we added two more small scrubbers for the filtration process - one for each room - this process took 72 hs.
7.    Bagged of the containment poly and disposal of the debris. 
8.    After the rebuild was ready we installed again the Air Handler.


Mold Remediation in Luxury apartment on the shore of Inter Coastal

Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301 

Problem: Tenant left the apartment because she was suffering severe allergies and throat irritation.

Solution: The landlord made contact with us and after talking with him we explained that before any remediation job begins we need a report from a third party Mold Assessor identifying the Mold type, source and scope of remediation. We recommended a reliable Mold Assessment company and the report with the lab results confirmed the presence of Aspergillus/Penicillium airborne spores on the living room, A/C Closet and surface high amount of Cladosporium spores on the return plenum of the A/C system. The growth was due a clogged condensate pan which dripped on the plenum box for a long time.
Following IICRC S520 standard and NORMI professional practices we took these steps to proceed with the mold remediation:
1.    Set up the containment barrier with 6 mil poly isolating the A/C Closet from rest of the house. 
2.    Set an air scrubber as negative air machine to avoid cross contamination from the containment area to the outside area and set two more Air Scrubbers in the contiguous rooms to kill the airborne spores.
3.    The A/C air handler was removed and put outside the containment area to make an in depth cleaning of the coil and applied a Biocide to every piece of it. Also the contents of the room were poly sealed and put outside the containment area.
4.    Gross demolition of the affected area. We cut 8 Ft of affected Sheetrock on the A/C room, removed the return plenum and the insulation of it.
5.    HEPA Vacuumed all the areas within the containment.
6.    Biocide sprayed and wiped down of every surfaces within the containment area.
7.    Changed the Negative Air Machine configuration to Air Scrubber + Hydroxil generator to passive and active filtering of the air volume within the containment - at least 200 Air Exchanges and use of 2 LGR dehumidifiers to avoid an increase of the HR% due to the removal of the A/C Air Handler.
8.    After 72 hs. and with the clearance testing passed we disassembled and disposed the containment 6 mil poly. 
9.    After the rebuild was finished we installed again the A/C Air Handler.

Water Damage Restoration after a Washing Machine Overflow

Location: Pompano Beach, FL 33060

Problem: A customers washing machine overflowed a week before they contacted us. He tried to remove the flooding from the floor himself but soon smelt a terrible odor coming from the kitchen. 

Solution: As soon as we arrived to the customer house we felt the odor due to the water accumulation between the floating floor and the vapor barrier beneath it. Also some parts of the drywall in the washing machine closet remained wet.
After a week the clear water (Cat. 1) became black water (Cat.3), our team was careful to keep safety first during the two day cleanup.
After that we started to remove the wet floor and the vapor barrier, the wet drywall and the kitchen cabinets baseboards.
Then we applied Microban to all the affected surfaces and after that deployed air moving equipment, a dehumidifier and two Air Scrubber with activated carbon filters to reduce odors.
After 2 days of drying the project was concluded.

Problem: High Mold spores count including Stachybotrys in bathrooms and water heater room. Customer discovered serious Mold problem after selling a condo unit, previous moisture tracks due to water heater leaks, and vanities leaks in two bathrooms.

Solution: Following the Remediation Protocol written by a 3rd party assessment company, IICRC S520 standard and NORMI professional practices we took these steps to proceed with the mold remediation on the ground floor bathroom, water heater room and 2nd floor bathroom:
1.    Set up the containment barriers for each room with 6 mil poly.

Problem: Water heater exploded leaking the kitchen and two contiguous bathroom assessment reports confirmed an elevated amount of mold spores in every room of the house. Customer left the house after severe allergies symptoms.

Solution: The Mold Remediation project took 2 days and 3 days of equipment running. These were the steps taken:

Southwest Ranches Residential Air Duct Cleaning

Location: Southwest Ranches, FL 33332 

Problem: Dirty registers and visible dust behind the supply registers after a remodeling project.

Solution: After a thorough HEPA Vacuuming on the return plenum, we opened the Air Handling Unit and the coil was completely frozen due to a refrigerant leak. We called our A/C guy and after replacing the condenser valve and fully charged with refrigerant the A/C was back to it´s normal operation. We cleaned the coil with a pressure washer applying an alkaline cleaner. Then we continued with the supply duct work and registers according to NADCA ACR-2013 Standard with a large collection vacuum producing negative pressure in the entire system and using a soft brush rotary system to dislodge the adhered debris. The last step was an antimicrobial fogging on every supply box.

Tamarac Residential Mold Removal

Problem: Women´s bathroom toilet backup spread Cat. 2 grey water on the contiguous Men´s bathroom and the storage area.

Solution: As soon as we received the emergency call we prepared the truck with the necessary equipment and supplies and reached the job site within 2 hours. On the job site the manager informed they called a plumbing company to solve the backup before we arrived. Following the IICRC S500 Standard and considering we deal with Cat 2 or Grey Water these were the steps we took:
1- Limit the affected area access to the employees. 
2-Moisture mapping of the affected areas marking with a tape all the measured spots.
3-Bulky water extraction.
4- Remove rubber baseboards and wet carpet.
5- Apply an Anti-Microbial agent on the affected areas.
6- Set up two LGR Dehumidifier and necessaries centrifugal/axial Air Movers.
7- Completed the Scope Sheets and documentation associated with the job.
8- After two days of drying the floor/walls were completely dried.
9- Glue back up the rubber baseboard.

Commercial Air Duct Cleaning on America´s Top Bank

Location: Boca Raton, FL 33431 

Problem: Maintenance company contacted us to perform the Air Duct cleaning of the bank after they replaced the Rooftop units. Visible dirty registers and dust behind the supply registers.

Solution: Following NADCA ACR-2013 Standard we started isolating the return side with inflatable bags, cleaning the registers and boxes.Then the return flexible branches and main trunks of the four units, using a large collection vacuum producing negative pressure on the entire return side with a soft brush rotary system to dislodge the adhered dust and debris. Then we repeated the same process on the Supply side. The last step was an antimicrobial fogging on every system.

Domestic Merchandise Retail Store Air Duct Cleaning

Location: Boca Raton, FL 33498 

Problem: The maintenance company contacted us to perform the air duct cleaning of the entire store before a major remodeling. Visibly dirty registers and dust on the supply/return registers of the Drop Down Concentric Rooftop Units. 

Solution: The access to the units was tough because the store roof was at 22 Ft height, so we used two single man electric lifts. Following NADCA ACR-2013 Standard we made a contact HEPA Vacuuming on the return and supply sides of the units. After that we cleaned with a degreaser solution the registers and the last step was applying an Anti-Microbial disinfectant to each system using a fogger. The project took us five days worked overnight.
