Dryer Vent Cleaning
Why Clean the Dryer Vents?
The Importance of Cleaning Dryer Vents: A gallon and a half of water in a full load of wet clothes enters the dryer and a process begins to remove the water. While this process is taking place, tiny fibers (lint) are being removed and the fibers accumulate in the dryer vent ductwork. Over time, the ductwork can become breeding ground for mold.
While approximately 2,900 clothes dryer fires reported every year, a study done by the U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) shows that 28% of these clothes dryer fires for residential homes were due to dust, fiber, and lint.
