Downtown Charleston Restaurant Air Duct Cleaning

Location: Charleston, SC 29403

Problem: Upon arrival at this 2 system air duct cleaning we found that all of the registers throughout the restaurant were very dusty and covered with a sticky, greasy film.  The customer also complained of a musty smell throughout the restaurant.

Solution: A detailed cleaning/degreasing of all supply and return registers was performed.  After placing the systems under negative air pressure, we cleaned the supply and return branch lines before cleaning the main trunk lines.  An anti-microbial solution was then applied to the duct work. Air duct cleaning helped the restaurant return to a healthy state.

Moisture Control and Crawl space Encapsulation

Location: Summerville, SC 29485

Problem: The mold growth issue for this customer was pretty severe.  She was extremely hypersensitive and had severe allergy symptoms.  She was so hypersensitive that when someone in the neighborhood was burning debris she could smell the smoky smell coming in through the vents into the crawl space that would enter the house through the floor.

Upon arrival we found the crawl space to be in pretty poor condition.  There was mold on the floor joists and sub-floor throughout the crawl space.  There was no insulation and the vapor barrier was tattered and ineffective.  They also had an addition to the house that recently flooded during Hurricane Matthew.  Since it was a Category 3 black water intrusion during the hurricane all of the carpet and pad should have been removed and disposed of.  It was not removed allowing odor causing bacteria to grow and affect the homeowners. Water damage removal, crawl space encapsulation, and mold removal had to be performed.

Solution: We began by removing the old crawl space vapor barrier and any other debris from the crawl space.  All of the wood structure was then HEPA vacuumed and treated with an anti-microbial product.  All foundation vents were insulated and sealed and a 12 mil AdvantaSeal Encapsulation System was installed on the walls, piers and crawlspace floor which sealed the crawl space.  A dehumidifier and condensate pump were installed completing the encapsulation.  The carpet and pad in the addition was removed and the concrete underneath was treated with an anti-microbial solution.  We then completed a 1 system air duct cleaning consisting of a detailed cleaning of all registers and boots, cleaned the branch lines and trunk lines of the duct work, and then fogged the system with an anti-microbial product.

The customer was extremely happy with the work performed and the professionalism of the crew.  A few days after the job was complete the customer informed us that her allergy symptoms were getting better, they could no longer smell the smoke when the neighbors burned, and they were having to run the heat less often because the house was warmer and holding heat better. The customer gave a 5 star review on Google.

SUMMERVILLE RENTAL HOME MOLDY CRAWL SPACE

Location: Summerville, SC 29485

Problem: Upon arrival we found that the tenants were experiencing a “musty” smell and the Mom and young daughter were both sick from respiratory issues. The issue at this location was significant mold on the floor joists and sub-floor.  The insulation was old and falling apart and the vapor barrier was in pieces, not fully covering the ground. Additionally, the metal ducts were in need of an air duct cleaning.

Solution: The old insulation and vapor barrier were removed from the crawl space. Crawl space moisture control was performed. The sub-floor and floor joists were then HEPA vacuumed and all wood was treated with an anti-microbial chemical.  The ground was given some time to dry and then a full coverage 6 mil vapor barrier was installed. We felt that the air ducts needed to be cleaned as well in order to help the young family so we completed that service for free.

Mt. Pleasant Mold Removal

Location: Mt. Pleasant, SC 29466

Problem: This customer just recently moved to the area and had all of their belongings stored and shipped in shipping containers that were not sealed and had several leaks.  This resulted in their belongings becoming wet and moldy.  When the shipment arrived at their new home the movers moved all of the wet and moldy belongings into the house without the customer knowing.  When the family moved into the home they noticed a strong musty odor and started experiencing allergy symptoms related to the mold. When we arrived we found that there was a very strong musty odor and found mold on almost all of the furniture, clothing and other personal belongings. Mold removal had to be performed.

Solution: We immediately brought a 2000 and 750 CFM HEPA filtered air scrubbers into the house and left them running continuously until the job was completed.  A 30 yard rollaway dumpster was brought to the site and used for the disposal of all affected items that could not be cleaned and all carpet and pad was removed and disposed of.  A whole house mold remediation was then performed.  This included HEPA vacuuming and wet contact wiping with an anti-microbial product of all ceilings, walls, floors, furniture, cabinets, drawers and personal belongings.  A complete 2 system air duct cleaning was also performed.  This included a detailed cleaning of all register grills and boots, cleaning of the supply and return branch lines and trunk line, and the application of an anti-microbial coating to all the duct work.

Mt. Pleasant Air Duct Cleaning

Location: Mt. Pleasant, SC 29466

Problem: Upon arrival at this 6500sqft 4 system air duct cleaning we found that the house had recently been purchased and fully renovated by the customer.  They were concerned about construction debris (i.e. Sheetrock dust and saw dust) being in the duct work from the extensive renovation and wanted to have all 4 HVAC systems cleaned before they moved in.  Two units were in a 3rd floor loft area attic and the other two were located in the finished basement area.

Solution: Each HVAC unit was opened and a detailed cleaning of the coil, blower wheel and interior insulation was performed.  All supply and return register grills were removed and a detailed air duct cleaning was performed.  This included HEPA vacuuming and wet contact wiping with an anti-microbial product.  We then cleaned the supply and return branch lines and main trunk lines of all 4 systems under negative air pressure.  An anti-microbial fog was then applied to the duct work for each system.

The customer was extremely pleased with the quality of the air duct cleaning and the amount of time the job was completed in.

North Charleston Grocery Store Commercial Coil Cleaning

Location: North Charleston, SC 29406

Problem: Upon arrival we found that this particular grocery store was undergoing an inspection the following day.  They were recently having some odor issues with a particular HVAC that supplied the deli area.  When we opened the machine we found the coils almost completely covered with dust, dirt and other debris.  The unit had standing water and fungal growth in the drain pans.

Solution: We used our high-flow 400PSI coil cleaning machine paired with our coil shine cleaning solution to soap and then rinse the coils. This freed the coils of any impacted dust, grime and debris.  We then extracted the water from the drain pans and made sure all drain lines were functioning properly.  A biocide pancare tablet was placed in each drainage pan to prevent any mold, mildew or grime from returning.

James Island Mold Removal and Crawl space Encapsulation

Location: Charleston, SC 29412

Problem: When we first arrived at this location we found that the customer was nearly 9 months pregnant and experiencing allergy symptoms.  Inspection of the crawl space revealed substantial mold on the wooden floor joists and sub-floor of the entire structure.  A severe rodent infestation was also discovered.  Since the customer was so close to having her baby they wanted to act on this fast and decided on a full mold remediation and crawl space encapsulation.

Solution: After the rodent issue was eradicated we started the mold remediation process.  A 700sqft per minute air scrubber was used to place the crawl space under negative pressure and any existing vapor barrier, insulation and debris were removed from the crawlspace and disposed of off-site.  The floor joists and subfloor were then HEPA vacuumed and an anti-microbial solution was applied.  When the remediation was complete we began the installation of our 12 mil AdvantaSeal Encapsulation System.  12mil reinforced plastic was installed on all the walls, piers and floor of the crawlspace.  The plastic was then properly taped and caulked to ensure the complete seal of the crawlspace.  A dehumidifier and condensate pump were installed to complete the moisture control service.

Goose Creek Manufacturing Plant Coil and Air Duct Cleaning

Location: Goose Creek, SC 29445

Problem: This plant was a 5-story manufacturing facility that produced a pink powder that was used in the pigmentation of all different colors of paint.  Because the powder was so fine it easily would become airborne and literally covered everything.  The 5 HVAC units had the powder all through the coils, interior walls and blower wheels.  The air duct was also contaminated and needed to be cleaned.

Solution: All 5 air duct handlers were cleaned.  This included the air handler cabinet and blower wheels.  We used our high-flow 400PSI coil cleaning machine to deep clean the coils of each unit with a non-toxic alkaline cleaning solution.  All register grills were taken down and cleaned for each floor and reinstalled.  We used a 5000CFM negative air machine to place each floors duct system under negative pressure and all supply and return branch and trunk lines were cleaned.

North Charleston Healthcare Facility Mold Remediation and Air Duct Cleaning

Location: North Charleston, SC 29406

Problem: This facility began to notice mold growth on most of its registers throughout the building that was accompanied by a musty odor. Mold removal and air duct cleaning had to be performed.

Solution: Because of the location of the mold we found we decided to do a full interior wipe down remediation and air duct cleaning of the 2 affected HVAC systems.  A 2000CFM HEPA filtered air scrubber was ran throughout the whole job and any necessary containment was put in place.  All walls, desks, medical equipment and any other items in the area we HEPA vacuumed and wiped down using an anti-microbial solution.  Each air handler was opened and a deep cleaning was performed on the interior cabinet and coils.  A detailed cleaning of all supply and return register grills was then performed and each duct system was placed under negative pressure using our 2500CFM negative air machine.  Compressed air was used to clean all supply and return branch and trunk lines.  An anti-microbial solution was then applied to the interior of the duct work.

Charleston Veterans Hospital Air Duct Cleaning

Location: Charleston, SC 29401

Problem: Annual routine air duct cleaning and coil cleaning of the 5 operating rooms and dusting of all register grills throughout the entire hospital.

Solution: All supply and return register grills were removed and deep cleaned for each of the 5 operating rooms. The duct system was placed under negative pressure and all supply and return branch and trunk lines were cleaned.  An anti-microbial coating was applied to the ductwork as well.  The 5 coil banks were cleaned using a low-pressure high-flow coil cleaning machine and a non-toxic alkaline coil cleaning solution.  The next 2 weeks were spent doing a detailed cleaning/dusting of ALL supply and return register grills through out the ENTIRE hospital.  This included patient rooms, ICU, various clinics/offices, emergency department and the sterile processing department.  Depending on the area of the work various PPE and containment were utilized.
