Going GreenOctober 7, 2011 0 Comments
Happy October, everyone!
As voted for on the AdvantaClean Facebook page, this month’s Healthy Home Tips blog will focus on earth-friendly household tips.
One easy way to go green is to fix leaky faucets!
A leaky faucet wastes water and wastes money. According to the United States Geological Survey, the average leaky faucet drips once every two seconds. That equals 1,041 gallons of wasted water every year!
In addition to being wasteful, leaky faucets can also lead to water damage! Water damage, whether caused by a leaky faucet, a burst pipe, or a natural disaster, can wreak havoc on a home’s interior. So be careful – water damage accounts for 70% of all insurance claims.
